Another great Foxy Christmas

by Radio Fox on Nov.08, 2009, under Uncategorized

This year’s Radio Fox Christmas schedule promises a heady mix of old favourites, brand new shows and a fantastic selection of programmes for the big day itself.

The festive programmes kick off on Monday 21st December with the Radio Fox Christmas Request Chart.  Steve & Nathan will be unveiling the forty most requested songs for Christmas week – will your favourite be number one? That’s followed by our three hour Christmas Special, featuring giveaways, competitions, requests and the entire Radio Fox team.  Last year nearly thirty listeners won a prize on our Christmas Special and we want to beat that figure this year!

On Christmas Day Neil and Andy will be taking your instant requests live and Liz Wotherspoon presents a very special Patients Requests especially for listeners in the maternity wards.  You can also call in if you want to hear your favourite song festive or otherwise.

Other treats include the return of Christmas Turkeys, where we bring you some of the cheesiest festive hits and non hits of all time, a celebration of fifty years of Motown and plenty of other special shows.

“It’s never nice spending Christmas in hospital so we are going to pull out all the stops to entertain our listeners over the festive period,” says Station Director Steve Hack.  “We hope they’ll be plenty to enjoy with a good mix of Christmas shows and special editions of our regular programmes.”

Radio Fox leads the way

by Radio Fox on Nov.08, 2009, under Uncategorized

Radio Fox is still the most listened to station within the Leicester Royal Infirmary, according to the latest audience figures supplied by Hospedia.

The statistics show that Fox currently has an audience share of 33%, 11% more than second most listened to station Radio One.  Our Friday line up of shows is currently proving most popular with listeners, with Jas’s Jammin’ show our most listened to show overall.  The Tuesday and Thursday Patients Requests shows are currently the most listened to request programmes.

Station Director Steve Hack is delighted with Fox’s continued success.  “It’s fantastic that so many people are enjoying our programmes but as always, it’s not about how many people are listening.  Even if just one person is enjoying our shows, that makes what we’re doing worthwhile.”
